It’s been a busy couple of days here. Luca has been enjoying a growing selection of vegetables (although peas are definitely NOT his favorite, he will let you know – and don’t even think about sneaking them in with his favorites – carrots and sweet potatoe – he will find them and make a sad face…) and he had lots of fun hanging out with grand-mom and grand-dad.

Now we’re gearing up for our last Thanksgiving in the US for a while. As we do every time I cook a bird, we thought long and hard about a good name for him (yes, turkeys are masculine….o peru)….given the fact that we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving in Brazil next year, we went with a Brazilian name: Tiago. We’ll be enjoying Tiago with more family (John’s sister and family) and friends who are making DC their home away from home (wherever that is in this crazy FS life) for this holiday. Stay tuned to find out how everyone liked Tiago – Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Dear friend,I hope you enjoy your stay in Brazil. I was born and raised there and hope to one day join the FSO duties. Currently studying to pass the first step and go from there! Brazil will be a wonderful experience. I take it you are going to Rio? or Sao Paulo?
