We’ve been busy exploring more of Sao Paulo’s countryside over the past few weekends. Why would we want to get out of the city, you ask?! Let’s just say that the traffic, pollution, and congestion can become very old very quickly (although fortunately we don’t have to deal with the smog and pollution like our friends and colleagues in Moscow at the moment). So, with our local guidebook in hand, we opted to visit the “Fazenda do chocolate” which is exactly what it sounds like (barn animals and lots of chocolate) as well as the town of “Itu” on one weekend and then headed to Sao Roque for some much-needed wine and spirit tasting the following weekend. It’s amazing how quickly the landscape changes just one hour outside of the craziness called Sao Paulo.
