You know you are raising international children when….

…your baby’s introduction to solid foods starts with fruits rather than vegetables (and she thinks there is nothing better than apple sauce)…

…. your little one’s first experiences with orange solid foods are not carrots, sweet potatoes, or butternut squash but papaya …

…. your toddler regularly makes use of at least 2 languages when formulating a sentence: “blau car, Mom” “mehr Toast bitte, mamae” (more toast please (German) mom (Portuguese)) and you think this is normal …

…your toddler says something you can’t understand and you immediately run through all the languages and dialects spoken at home to make sense of what he’s mumbling …

…and…

…your toddler is no stranger to international cuisine and just LOVES everything there is about sushi…(and you are concerned he is turning into a food snub right before your eyes….but then quickly realize that you have taught him good taste!)..
