Snow, basketball, and crazy patterns

It’s been a while since our Valentine’s Day festivities but we have not been bored here – not in the least. How could we possibly be bored with all the snow fun we had here that caused the schools to close (often for no apparent reason other than there *may* have been a little ice somewhere on the roads). We kept busy as best as we could – even if that meant putting the kids to work brushing off ice and snow of our car.

When the sun returned, Jules started to excel in wearing all possible patterns and color combinations at once – I long for being 4 years old again and not caring at all.

Oh and then Luca “graduated” from his basketball clinic. He improved tremendously from starting out looking more like a chicken chasing after a ball to more or less figuring out how to dribble and shoot the ball properly.

And to celebrate, John took Luca for a boys’ night to see the Harlem Globetrotters. Not that John was 100% on board with this outing and needed more than a little loving push (and me buying the tickets) to convince him they would have fun.

Yes, that is a Globetrotter pulling down pants (can you tell it was a boys' kind of night?)

And what fun they had. Both came home giggling about the entire show especially about one of the Globetrotters who pulled down the pants of an opposing player. And now, of course, no basketball game in our home (thanks to the perfect souvenir – a basketball hoop for the kids’ room) is complete without one (or all) of us losing their pants when taking a shot (future visitors/players: you have been warned).
